Misconduct
Conduct problems would not be tolerated in my classroom. It is important to know how to deal with children misbehaving in the classroom to know how to deal with them. If a child speaks out of place it is best to know why he was speaking out of place. Maybe he wanted more attention? maybe the child felt like he or she just couldn't be quiet anymore? every child and every situation is different, that is why there is no right or wrong way to deal with misbehavior in the classroom (Shaw,
D. S. ). To prevent students from misbehaving in the classroom my strategy would be to create the safest learning environment possible so that student never feel threatened, never feel bored, and always feel engaged in what they are learning (AG 5.1). By creating this safe learning environment I would hopefully be able to make kids respect each other and respect me as a teacher, while leaving open and safe times for students to say what is on their mind as long as it is pertinent to the subject being discussed (AG 5.5).
