Friendships
When kids start school it is a critical and perhaps stressful time for them . That is why it is important to have many strong relationships with not only peers, but teachers and their parents as well to ensure the best outcomes in learning (AG 2.4)(Danby,
S., Thompson, C., Theobald, M., & Thorpe, K.). Having Friends help in a lot of ways, it will better a students social skills and even help kids adjust to life more. Early friendships benefit kids in many ways. Kids with more friendships often show a higher self esteem than children without friends or with fewer friends. Having more friends, as long as the friends he or she has made are positive friendships, also helps students improve their decision making skills. Students with more friends are also usually more talkative, and the opposite is true of students with less friendships. It is still important even in classrooms that teachers know how to teach all kinds of student, from the talkative ones, to the shy ones, to all the others in between and knowing how friendships affect a students personality can help the educator teach a child better (AG 1.2).
